How to Measure and Obtain a Free Quote for a Custom Mattress
Measuring correctly is the most important step to guarantee a perfect fit. Hereโs a simple process to follow:
- Measure Length & Width: Use a tape measure to get the full inside dimensions of your bed frame or platform. Measure the length, width, and depth. For antique beds, measure from inside rail to inside rail.
- Check Corners & Edges: Note if your mattress needs to include rounded corners, cut corners, or angled sides. If so, trace a template on cardboard or craft paper to send with your order.
- Measure Height (Thickness): Decide how tall youโd like your mattress โ usually between 4โ and 12โ. Keep in mind clearance for cabinets, walls, or folding mechanisms.
- Confirm Shape: For boats or RVs with unusual angles, create a paper template of the entire sleep space. This ensures absolute precision when we cut your mattress.
